“All the content for this project was created during covid lockdown. I had the vision for this thing while on the drive home from visiting @friendkerrek. It was the first time I’d gone to someone’s house where everyone there was vaccinated, and it was very liberating. I wanted to do something lighthearted while all this heavy shit is going on in the world.

The whole idea of it is that I look at it as therapy. It’s a reminder to myself, ‘Beets, cool out.’ Also, I tried to make a jazz record. I know I’m not a jazz musician but this is my attempt at a jazz record. A lot of chops on a lot of these beats are kind of ‘out there.’

The photo all the artwork is based of off is a photo of me on vacation in Aruba using all my travel-friendly gear like my MPC and my 303. It’s me with Aruba Beach behind me and the perfect image to go along with the chill vibes on the tape.”
